The DEA has mandated that all vets record every prescription by name, amount, and to whom they are prescribed. Your vet must adhere to these protocols in order to continue to provide care for your pet. This is also the reason your vet may be hesitant to approve prescriptions to on-line pharmacies and discount houses.
